FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Pelvic Pain Specialists Offer Expertise through Online Discussion Hosted by PainPathways Magazine, Thursday, November 6th
November 3, 2014—Did you know that chronic pelvic pain is one of the most common medical problems among women, and that it can have many possible causes?
To raise awareness, PainPathways Magazine is teaming up with experts from Bridge for Pelvic Pain, a newly-formed non-profit organization, to host a Facebook chat on chronic pelvic pain conditions and treatment options, on Thursday, November 6th at 8pm ET.
Elliot B. Lander, MD, FACS, a board-certified urologist and surgeon, is co-founder and co-medical director of the California Stem Cell Treatment Center and the Cell Surgical Network where he is currently involved in cutting edge cell-based treatments for interstitial cystitis. He will co-moderate the online event, with fellow Bridge for Pelvic Pain board member, Karen Liberi, MS, MPT, WCS.
Liberi, a board-certified physical therapist, is one of only 150 board-certified women’s health clinical specialists in physical therapy in the United States. Liberi is the director of Northwest Ohio Center for Pelvic Rehabilitation and Wellness, where she offers specialized pelvic rehabilitation and therapies for both women and men.
During the chat, Lander and Liberi, will answer questions and share updates for cutting edge treatments.
Bridge for Pelvic Pain was launched in September and founded by Carin Willis, a pelvic pain sufferer. Its mission is to connect the global community of chronic pelvic, sexual and genital pain patients to resources, education and hope through an integrative approach.
“Bridge for Pelvic Pain is honored to partner with PainPathways in hosting a Facebook chat for women with chronic pelvic pain conditions,” says Willis. “It’s important for these women to understand that they are not alone and that many treatment options are available.”
